Virtua Fighter 5 offers worldwide fighting stages in which as many as 17 contestants, including two new characters, El Blaze, a Mexican wrestler who dominates with his Lucha Libre fighting style, and Eileen, a Chinese Monkey style kung-fu champion. SEGA also has implemented a new 'offensive move' enabling players to take down opponents from different angles; these moves are believed to set VF5 apart from past VF games. Like in Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, players can customize their characters. They can pick from four base costumes in the beginning, and then choose from a wide spectrum of unlockable accessories items as they progress. By winning more tournaments, players not only earn costumes and accessories, they receive prizes and in-game money for browsing in the in-game shop. Step into the ring and prove you're the best! Two new characters: El Blaze and Eileen round out the cast of 17 dynamic characters. El Blaze is a Mexican wrestling champion who uses the Lucha Libre fighting style, and Eileen, originally from China, uses "Kou Ken," or a monkey-style Kung Fu fighting style.
Customization: Customize your character with the enhanced attachment system and customization engine. This gives players more flexibility than ever before when creating their characters.
Character portability: An Xbox 360 exclusive, character data portability makes it possible to save characters created in Quest Mode via Memory Unit, and play with those characters against other people's customized characters in VS Mode on other Xbox 360 systems.
Fighting capabilities: New offensive moves let players easily slip around their opponent from the side and back, allowing players to be more strategic with their battles.
